Terms of service
The agreement between you and us. We have tried to write it in the language we use everywhere else, because terms nobody can read protect nobody.
Last updated August 26, 2026
01The agreement
These terms are between you and Meero Labs LLC, of 90 State Street, Suite 700, Office 40, Albany, NY 12207, United States. Using Travel Buddy means accepting them. If you don’t, don’t use it — that is the whole of the deal.
Travel Buddy is in development and not yet released. Right now the only thing you can do is join the waitlist. Nothing here promises a launch date, a feature, or that the product will ship at all.
02Your account
You need to be at least 13 to have an account. One person, one account; keep your sign-in to yourself. Tell us at pockettravelapp.support@gmail.com if you think someone else is using it.
You are responsible for what happens on your account, but we will never ask you for your password and will never need it to help you.
03Your trips are yours
Everything you put into Travel Buddy — your Days, Stops, notes, Wallet documents and Stamps — stays yours. We don’t claim ownership of it and we don’t sell it.
You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: storing your content, showing it back to you on your devices, and showing it to the people you invite to the trip. That permission ends when you delete the content or close your account.
A shared trip is genuinely shared. Anyone you invite can see and change it, and can keep their own copy of what they saw. Invite accordingly.
04What you may not do
- Break the law with it, or use it to harm, harass or impersonate someone.
- Upload someone else's documents or personal data without their say-so.
- Attack the service — scrape it, hammer it, or try to reach another person's trip.
- Resell it, or rebuild it by copying it wholesale.
- Use the email-forwarding address as a general mailbox. It exists to turn your booking confirmations into Stops.
Found a security hole? That is not a breach of these terms — it is a favour. Report it to pockettravelapp.support@gmail.com and we will acknowledge within 3 business days.
05Affiliate links, and how we earn
Where Travel Buddy points you at a place to stay or a ticket to buy, that link may earn us a commission. You book on their site, at their price — the commission comes out of their side, not yours.
Travel Buddy never takes a payment for travel. We are not a travel agent, we are not the merchant, and we are not a party to your booking. If a hotel cancels, a flight moves, or a reservation goes wrong, your agreement is with that company and you will need to take it up with them. We’ll help you find the confirmation; we can’t change their booking.
The longer version is on the affiliate disclosure.
06What it costs
Nothing today. Pricing has not been decided, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. If we ever charge for Travel Buddy, we will say so clearly and in advance — no trial that quietly becomes a subscription, and no charge for something you already had for free without being told first.
07Ending it
You can stop whenever you like: delete your account from inside the app or write to pockettravelapp.support@gmail.com. We delete your data within 30 days, as set out in the privacy policy.
We can suspend or close an account that is breaking section 4, or where we are required to. Except where the law or an active abuse investigation stops us, we will tell you why and give you a chance to get your data out first.
08What we promise, and what we don't
We will run the service with reasonable care and be straight with you when something breaks. What we cannot promise is that it will never be unavailable, never lose a byte, or be free of bugs — and you should not treat any planner as your only copy of a document you cannot lose.
Travel information comes from you, and place coordinates come from Open-Meteo’s public geocoder. We do not independently verify that a place, an address or an opening hour is correct. Check anything you would be stranded by. Except where the law says otherwise, the service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind.
09Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
Beyond that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — a missed flight, a lost booking, a trip that went wrong — and our total liability is capped at the greater of the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $100 USD. Since the service is currently free, that first figure is zero, which is exactly why the second one matters and why this clause needs a lawyer’s eye before launch.
10Law, changes and contact
These terms are governed by the law of State of New York, United States, and the courts there deal with any dispute.
If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect, rather than quietly editing the date at the top. Carrying on using Travel Buddy after that is how you accept the new version; if you would rather not, close your account.
