Travel Buddy earns commission when you book through some of our links. Here is exactly how that works, and what we have not decided yet.

Last updated August 26, 2026

01The short version

Some links out of Travel Buddy earn us a commission. You pay the same price either way, and we never take a payment for travel ourselves.

02How it actually works

When Travel Buddy shows you a place to stay or a ticket to buy, that link may carry a code identifying us. If you book, the company pays us a share of what they earned. It comes out of their margin, not your bill — the price you see is the price you would have paid arriving on your own.

You are booking with that company, under their terms, on their site. We are not the merchant and not a party to the booking. If something goes wrong with it, they are who can fix it.

04Does commission decide what you are shown?

Honest answer: the rules are not written yet. Travel Buddy is pre-launch, and how results are ordered is a decision we have not made.

When it is made, it gets stated here in plain terms — whether a paid link can ever outrank an unpaid one, and how a commercial result is marked. We would rather leave this section visibly unfinished than fill it with a comfortable sentence we have not earned.

05What we will not do

Some commitments are easy to make now and worth writing down before there is money on the table:

  • We will not hide that a link is commercial.
  • We will not sell your trip data, to advertisers or anyone else.
  • We will not put advertising inside your itinerary.
  • We will not add a fee to a booking price.

06Questions

If you want to know whether a specific link earns us anything, ask — pockettravelapp.support@gmail.com, or via Support. The commercial relationship is also covered in section 5 of the terms of service.
